You are in the registration area for the Portfolio Review. You can perform your registration (payment required; binding) here.

We offer you
* at least three consultations at 20 minutes each with renowned reviewers from the international photography scene, or a three-hour session with discussion and guided tour with Magnum photographer Abbas at the Heidelberger Kunstverein.
* a Festival pass for all participants, which you can use to visit all exhibitions of the 5th Fotofestival 2013.
* the opportunity to be displayed, after the portfolio reviews, as a favourite with a strip of images on our homepage in our virtual gallery.
* the opportunity to be shown as one of the three top favourites in an exhibition in Einraumhaus c/o (www.einraumhaus.com) in Mannheim.
* Magnum Photos rewards the first winner with a workshop in Paris at the end of the year.
* The Fotofestival will provide a travel allowance of 200 Euros.

Please first choose from the list your desired reviewers and dates for three consultations. (When choosing the reviewer Abbas you do not need to seek further times). Times, along with final confirmation of participation and reviewers, will be given out exclusively by the organizer once the registration period has closed.
Then please enter your details in the online registration form and upload up to four expressive photographs as a sample of your work and a brief artist’s statement. The material will be used solely for the purposes of jury pre-selection.

Terms and conditions of participation

A pre-selection will be performed out of all incoming applications. The jury for 2013 is made up of the curator Andréa Holzherr and the Festival management. One week after the close of the registration period at the latest, the organizers will issue information about participation and allocation of consultation times in a confirmatory e-mail.

Registration for the Portfolio Review is binding. If you are admitted to the review, in the event of non-participation we will collect a cancellation and processing fee of 10 Euro from 18 August. Prior to this date, withdrawal of the registration is possible free of charge via an e-mail to the organizer.

Payment
Once the confirmatory e-mail has been received, but by 18th August at the latest, admitted participants are asked to transfer the participation fee to our account or online via PayPal.

Reviewers
Registrations are only possible in the review package of three consultations at 20 minutes each with three renowned appraisers of your choice. Places for each expert are limited and will be allocated in order of incoming registrations. Fully booked reviewers will be identified on the homepage.

Also when registering you can opt for either of the two event days. Please note that not all reviewers will be present on both days. Changes will be published on our homepage in good time. Please read the information there.

The organizer reserves the right to confirm date and reviewer otherwise than requested. However, we assure you that we will take account of all requests as far as we possibly can.

Portfolio Review favourites
At the close of the event the reviewers will select their favourites from among all participants. The favourites will be presented on our homepage. Three of the participants acclaimed by the reviewers will receive their own exhibition of their works within the scope of the Festival. The reviewers’ decision and evaluation is final. Legal action is ruled out.

Rights
The participant provides assurance that he or she is the owner of all copyrights, rights of use, rights of exploitation and other intellectual property rights on the submitted works. The participant transfers to Fotofestival Mannheim_Ludwigshafen_Heidelberg e.V. the right to publish excerpts in the press.

During all data processing procedures (e.g. gathering, processing and transmission) we will proceed according to the current statutory provisions. Your details that are needed for the business transaction will be stored and forwarded for order completion in the necessary scope to service providers commissioned and contractually bound by us. We assure you that we will not pass on your details to third parties.
