FESTIVAL PROGRAMME ONLINEWith more than 120 events, which you can now find out more about online well as in the programme booklet, the 5th Fotofestival offers many opportunities to delve deeper into the festival's topic. The range of programme items extends from talks and panel discussions through guided tours of the exhibitions, excursions, movie evenings and photo workshops to the autumn holiday programme for children and young adults. We are very much looking forward to having you take part! At this point we would like to refer to a number of event highlights besides the festival's opening weekend on 13-15 September:

Friday, 8 November / 7 p.m. – Afghan Box Camera Project With pictures, videos and stories, the artist Lukas Birk presents extracts from the project's collection. Venue: Heidelberger Kunstverein PAOLO PELLEGRIN RECEIVES THE DR. ERICH SALOMON AWARD 2013 OF THE GERMAN PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETYOn Saturday, 12 October 2013 at 7 p.m. the Dr. Erich Salomon Award of the German Photographic Society (DGPh) will be handed over in the premises of ZEPHYR – Raum für Fotografie der Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen in Mannheim. We cordially invite you to this event and would like to introduce you to this year's award winner: the photographer Paolo Pellegrin, born in Rome in 1964, is a member of the photo agency Magnum Photos and one of the world's most dedicated photojournalists. His latest works will be on show at ZEPHYR from 14 September: these are his contribution to the project Deutschlandreise, which has been created within the context of the Fotofestival in co-operation with Magnum Photos as well as the picture agency FOCUS and in collaboration with ZEITmagazin.
